Privacy Policy

Account information. When you create an account through Clerk, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. If you sign up with a social provider (Google, etc.), we receive the information that provider shares with us.

Registry submissions. Any slab data you enter — item name, player name, grading company, grade, cert number, year, set name, and uploaded photos — is stored in our database and displayed publicly on your registry page.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or full payment details. We receive a subscription status and a Stripe customer identifier only.

Usage data. We may collect information about how you access and use the service, including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring URLs, through our hosting provider (Vercel).

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the TheSlabbed.com registry
• Process transactions and manage your subscription
• Send transactional emails (account confirmation, billing receipts)
• Respond to your comments and questions
• Monitor and analyze usage to improve the service
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or fraud
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not display estimated market values or pricing for any items in your registry.

Registry data is public. Your submitted slab entries — including item details, grades, cert numbers, and photos — are visible to any visitor of the site without requiring an account.

Third-party service providers. We share data with vendors that help us operate the service:

• Clerk — authentication and user management
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription management
• Vercel — website hosting, serverless functions, and Blob storage for uploaded images
• Supabase — PostgreSQL database hosting

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy and data handling practices. We are not responsible for the practices of these providers.

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.

We retain your account information and registry submissions for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information and associated slab entries within 30 days, unless we are required by law to retain it longer.

Uploaded images stored in Vercel Blob may persist up to 90 days after account deletion while storage cleanup processes complete.

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain your session and provide core functionality of the service. Our authentication provider (Clerk) uses cookies to keep you signed in.

We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. You can configure your browser to refuse cookies, but certain features of the service may not function properly if you do.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your information. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Database access is restricted and authenticated. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

TheSlabbed.com is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it promptly.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Object to or restrict certain processing activities
• Data portability (receive a copy of your data)

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
